By now most of our members are familiar with the Trove website. Some have attended our Trove workshops at the Albury LibraryMuseum and there are many who have missed out. So at our next meeting you will have a chance to catch up and perhaps share some of your own tips.
As you know, our Society has coordinated the efforts to extend the coverage of local newspapers on Trove – we now have coverage from the first Albury newspaper, the Border Post of October 1856 through to the Border Morning Mail of December 1954. The next step is to fill the missing dates in coverage.
Trove is a free treasure trove of articles and stories from Australia’s past. Our meeting we will be a “how to …” session focusing on the collection of Australian newspapers.
The website has become an asset for anyone researching history topics or conducting family history research.
The session will be helpful for those that have never used Trove and a way to share tips with experienced users.
